Janita has been working in private practice since completing her Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2007. She has completed her Honours, doing further research into nutrition for cardiovascular health. Prior to joining the team at Way of Life Nutrition, Janita gained valuable hospital and community health experience in a rural setting in south west Queensland. She also regularly provides clinical support for the Nutrition and Dietetics program at Griffith University.

Janita enjoys all areas of nutrition, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, over/underweight and aged care. She has completed the National Paediatric Dietetic Training Course (DAA Centre for Advanced Learning), and as a Mum herself, is passionate about building positive relationships with food and eating during childhood. She has also completed further education and training in the Low FODMAP Diet for the treatment of IBS. She is passionate about ensuring quality, evidenced based medical nutrition therapy for her patients.

Janita believes in tailored and practical nutrition advice. She is particularly interested in the behavioural aspects of eating, including why we choose the foods we do, and how to adjust our everyday behaviours so that we can make sustainable, positive dietary changes to improve our long term health.
